no no, don’t worry – I’m still here! I didn’t decide to pull the plug on blogging or become a hermit-ess and I wasn’t tied up and thrown off the face off the earth by bandits and aliens who wanted to manipulate my blog for their own evil purposes to rule the world. 😀 I changed the settings to private a few days ago because I wanted to play around with a new template and header, and when I play around on blogs, all sorts of wEirD things could happen.
I was getting really tired of my old one, and have wanted to change my old header for ages, but only finally sat down and came up with something that gave a kind of rustic but fresh look. I also changed the template, which is still very similar to the old one but just enough change to make me happy! What do you all think?
I think it’s cute! I like it!
Love the font and colour scheme, and the little birdie is cute. Well done!
Hayley
Thanks Hayley!
Melikes it as well 😀 It’s just like you described it ‘fresh and rustic’ 🙂 And I know *exactly* what you mean about weird things happening when you play with blogs…the same thing happens to me 😀
Thanks Jessica! I thought I’d save everyone the confuse-ment of things changing as I played!
Well, I like it as well. The problem though, is that I have nothing to compare it to! My darling wife could change all the curtains in the house to hot pink and I would not notice it for at least 8 months so I have no chance of remembering what you blog looked like before!
Haha! I did take a screen shot before I changed everything (not that I did anything as drastic as changing curtains to hot pink) but didn’t end up putting it up (obviously – as you can see!)
I’m not convinced – I think you would realise your wife changed the curtains to such a bright colour sooner than eight months! (If you didn’t notice the dramatic change your girls would be so extremely thrilled about it they would point it out to you!)
I love the new template! Great job!
Well done Jess – it is nice and fresh, easy to get around and all importantly – inviting. Look forward to continuing to read your blog posts.
Thanks Mum and Eyebright!
Mommy remarked that Australia is already celebrating the new year…so I *just* had to tease and ask you if it was worth coming to 2012…or should we just stay back here in 2011?! 😀 Hehe!
Hugs!
Jessica
LOL! That’s sooo funny Jessica!
I’ve often wondered about the time difference… does that mean that Jesus would come back to Australia before America? 😀
By the way, I have scouted out 2012 and can report that it is safe to enter!
Hehe! Now THAT would not be fair if you got to see Him first 😀 Maybe I should move to Australia soon, lol! But remember how it says in the song ‘When The Roll is Called Up Yonder’, ‘when time shall be no more’? I wonder if time is ‘no more’ at the second He comes…then we’ll get to see Him at the same time?? Who knows?! 😀
Glad to know that 2012 is safe…I’m liking it so far 😉
Yeah, I’m only kidding – I think we’ll be seeing Him at the same time! I guess there’s only one way to find out though!
Jess
Lol! Yes, I think so too 😀
♥Jessica
I think your new look is lovely, Jessica! I was worried when I visited your blog to find out that it was private! I’m so glad that it was just a safety measure. Oh, and thank you so much for adding a link to my blog! That’s so sweet of you!
I love the new design! That little bird is so sweet! Like the ‘rustic’ go, too!!
Nice job!
Love Emily
Thanks, Emily!
