Busy

Here’s the next Proverb!

˜ God’s little girl is Busy ˜

The garden of God’s little girl – how grand!

It began with a dream, a prayer, and a plan.

Nothing this splendid just happens, we know:

It takes time and care for flowers to grow.

Proverbs 31:16 – She looks at a field and buys it. With money she has earned, She plants a vineyard.

When I wrote down this rhyme, the last line struck me. Whenever I read this book, I think, “I wish I was like this girl.” My prayer to God often is “may I be Proverbs 31”, but this book has a different personality to Proverbs 31. But this last line says it takes time and care for flowers to grow. Now if we say that characters traits are flowers, and then they are still little shoots, growing, making it’s way to a caring girl. And, of course, God is taking care of us and watering, sunning, fertilizing us with His love and His Word. But, what I just said has nothing to do about being busy. To have a garden, you also need to have perseverance, to water and fertilize the plants. It’s a long-term project, but it’s very rewarding. You might not have a garden as a project, but you do have other projects. You might be making a dress, or a teddy bear, maybe your making and selling cards. Maybe you are sculpting something, or taking a beading course. Now, all these things are skills that can help you all your life. They are productive things that you can do in your free time. If you keep doing these things, you are being busy. And you’re learning things that can help you bless others. And, as a homeschooler, you always can do school work! You’re learning all the time!
